Capitol Reef National Park had some of the best PARK landscapes, rocks, textures, and such! We did A LOT of VIDEO here so please stay tuned for that to come.

The park was established in 1971 to preserve 241,904 acres of desert landscape. Located in south-central Utah in the heart of red rock country, Capitol Reef is a hidden treasure filled with cliffs, canyons, domes and bridges in the Water-pocket fold, extending almost 100 miles. Nearly 10,000 feet of sedimentary strata were deposited in this area. The rocks range in age as old as 270 millions years to as young as 80 million years. We explored the scenic drive with lots of pull offs along the way.
Capitol Gorge, further south along the same scenic drive, which is unpaved, winding its way along the deep but relatively wide upper part of the gorge trailhead, beyond which the canyon narrows significantly.
In the meantime, please enjoy our photo tour of our adventure through Capitol Reef.
