We used our SPG Starwood Points to stay here complimentary (We were saving them for this Australia trip)! Wonderful hotel. Fantastic location, You can reach all of Sydney's downtown attraction within walking distance, Opera house, Pitt Street shopping, Tower Eye, Surry Hill and more. We even walked to Bridge Climb Sydney from here and back. Room service was excellent, the room was amazing, high level floor, modern, super comfy bed, soaker-tub and more!

Bondi Beach

A Beach in New South Wales, Australia is a popular beach and the name of the surrounding suburb in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Bondi Beach is located 7 km (4 mi) east of the Sydney central business district. The beach, the water, the view, and the coastal walk, amazing! Bondi to Bronte Coastal Walk, panoramic coastal walk is a must. Bring water, stop often, take photos, and wear a hat on a sunny day, no shade!

Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney

The Royal Botanic Gardens are just a short walk from the Sydney Opera House. This is a fantastic place to take a look around and see some of the garden varieties you may only see in Australia. They had big trees, large roses bushes, and overall its just a beautiful wide open space.

We recommend walks around the city for site seeing, shopping, dinner spots, cafes, dessert places and more. We ended our trip in Sydney so this was a really chill relaxing place to take our days easy. We used Uber a few times to get to multiple points in the city when the sun was too hot to walk long distances. We had beautiful weather and the summer days were hot hot hot!

Where we ate:

Opera Kitchen (Right outside the Sydney Opera House) The outside tables were really nice. Great view of the water, the bridge, a nice breeze, good hamburger and fries. A nice afternoon lunch by the water. It was a bit busy so we had to wait a little bit for a table to open up and for the food, but was worth the wait. Would recommend it.

The Westin Sydney - room service / breakfast. Eggs, turkey bacon, home fries and morning juices. Great way to start the day, energy booster.

Snacks and sampled desserts:

RivaReno Gelato Barangaroo - Super high quality gelato. We were able to sample before purchasing. Staff was great, atmosphere was awesome, and on a hot hot day it hit the spot! We stuck with the gelato but they also offered milkshakes, crepes, brioche & bomboloni, espressos, cakes and waffles and more!

Address: 33/4 Barangaroo Avenue, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia

Uncle Tetsu - ONE WORD... YUMMY!! Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Cheesecake - add this to your list of desserts to try when in Sydney!! Light, fluffy cheesecakes that melt in your mouth. We got only one to share between us to help with the calorie in-take but just delicious, what a treat! The location is pretty cool, you can see the tart sized cheesecakes being made, and the employees working the lines through the glass windows. It's Sydney's runaway food craze at the moment is Uncle Tetsu's Japanese.
